== How to update the firmware in TellStick, TellStick Duo and TellStick Net ==

Please see below for you operating system.

TellStick must be from batch 11 or later to support upgrades.
All batches of TellStick Duo and TellStick Net support upgrades.

=== Windows XP ===

The service running must be stopped in order for the flasher utility to see the TellStick.[[BR]]
Open "Services". You find it under:[[BR]]
Start menu -> (Control panel) -> Administrative Tools -> Services[[BR]]
Find "TelldusService" in the list and press "Stop Service".[[BR]]

You can now run the flasher utility.

=== Windows 7 ===

The service running must be stopped in order for the flasher utility to see the TellStick.[[BR]]
Open the control panel from the start menu

Select "System and Security" and then "Administrative tools"
[[Image()]][[Image()]]
Double click "Services" in the new window
[[Image()]]
Scroll down to "Telldus Service", right click it and click "Stop"

You can now run the flasher utility.

=== Mac OS X ===
Open the terminal.
Run the following command:
sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.telldus.service.plist

You need to enter your password.

Now you can run the flasher utility.

Q: I have updated the firmware in TellStick Duo, but want to downgrade again. How do I do that?[[BR]]
A: Download an older firmware ([http://download.telldus.com/TellStick/Software/firmware/]), stop the service as described above, drag-and-drop the .hex-file to TellStickFlasher.exe (located in your TelldusCenter installation folder), and follow the instructions.
